Omnicast Dual DVB-T/H Monitor Receiver

The Omnicast Dual DVB-T/H Monitor Receiver is a 1RU unit that allows simultaneous monitoring and decoding of two signals in the VHF or UHF frequency ranges locally or remotely.

FEATURES:

  • Antenna diversity DVB-T receiver compliant with ETS 300744
  • All DVB-T modes supported
  • 6, 7 and 8 MHz RF channels in VHF Band III or UHF band IV & V
  • 4 modes of operation:
    • Dual channel
    • Antenna diversity
    • Hierarchical demodulation (LP & HP demodulation)
    • Redundant receiver
  • Monitoring capabilities ( MER, BER, RF level, C/N+I …)
  • ± 350 KHz automatic frequency correction
  • IP GUI or RS232 / RS485 control and monitoring

The unit contains an embedded microprocessor controller which allows use of either IP via a LAN, WAN or Net connection or use of a modem with RS232/RS485 ports for monitoring via dialup.

It is ideal for installation at a remote location with an internet web connection to monitor transmitter performance, signal levels and MER at different locations from a central monitoring point.

By using the Compass “Northpoint” GUI with a Java webserver application incorporated that downloads to the monitoring PC on connection, it can be monitored from any computer with a web browser. All parameters of the dual receivers can be set from the GUI main page. Tabs allow selection of the other functions.

Graphic displays of constellations and MER are stored for review at a later time on internal flash memory as well as parameters in realtime available on the main GUI display.

Two standard ASI demodulated stream outputs are available on the unit, one from each receiver.
